Proposed State Budget Cuts Farm to School
Announced at the end of February, Governor Walker's proposed budget removes funding for the statewide coordination of Farm to School efforts and technical assistance for school districts, farmers, and non-profits. Wisconsin's Farm to School programs purchase $9.1 million in Wisconsin-grown foods. In addition, 47 percent of Wisconsin school districts plan to increase or start a Farm to School program. Help us put Farm to School back in the budget
