This new cafe just of the Square in Madison is devoted to local products. You'll find a variety of local ingredients folded into warm crepes including beef, pork, eggs and vegetables. Bradbury's even uses local flour, eggs and milk in their crepes and coffee. The owners believe strongly in the local food philosophy and serve it up in a bright, sunny cafe.

Bringing you fresh Mediterranean food and vegetables from Primrose Produce.  Barbara has teamed with Mike and Cassie of Primrose Produce in Middleton to create dishes with fresh, seasonal vegetables. The Dardanelles exemplifies community participation by buying from local suppliers and farmers, being involved in community events and offering space for people to gather over great food and atmosphere. Don’t miss the seasonal veggies- especially when they come served in the Nohutlu Ispanak.  When it’s wintertime and seasonal veggies are hard to come by, warm up with a Turkish coffee and have your grounds read.  You won’t be disappointed!

Bringing you fresh locally made pasta and locally grown dishes.  The Fork and Spoon Café is the perfect neighborhood restaurant.  They are small enough to buy beef by the half steer from Marr Family Farm and innovatively turn it all into great meals.  Peter and his chef, Andrew, estimate they use 40% locally grown products right now including meats, cheese, dairy and produce.  Not content to call that good enough, they continue to explore more local offerings. The Fork and Spoon's daily special often has local ingredients and always has delicious pasta at it’s freshest.

Fresco's location on top of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art makes them one of the most unique locations for local foods. Fresco combines artistic sensibilities with fresh and local foods with a special view of the Isthmus. Special Farmer Market dinners hosted by Fresco monthly offer them a chance to showcase Dane County Farmers Market producers and their products. With farmers at the dinner diners get a first hand account of what happens to local food before it gets to the plate.

Bringing you local beef, chicken, and pork grown by Pecatonica Valley Farm and served up in the coziest restaurant you’ve ever eaten in.  The Greenbush Bar is a neighborhood gem hidden beneath the Italian Workmen’s Club.  The chef won’t serve anything she doesn’t want to eat herself so you get the best locally produced meats grown by another community gem- John Carr at Pecatonica Valley Farm.  John has taken Anna’s recipe for Italian sausage made with Chianti to produce it for the restaurant.  You can even buy it at the Dane County Farmers Market. Don’t miss the thin crust pizza with Italian sausage.  Or the gorgonzola pasta with John’s chicken breast.  Or the Sicilian chicken soup.
