What does it mean to be a BFBL Retail Partner?

 

Partners have access to the BFBL graphics package- a flexible, beautiful, and easy to use collection of graphics and templates that can be customized to individual stores.   BFBL graphics remind consumers of the taste and value of local foods.  The bright logo evokes the agricultural abundance of Southern Wisconsin.

Partners also have access to BFBL events and programs including networking events, communication tools and consulting services.

Partners benefit from BFBL consumer outreach.  We strive to educate consumers on the value of local foods and direct them to farm, market, retail and restaurant sources for food grown here in Southern Wisconsin.  Our Partners report reciving a lot of attention from consumers for their participation in BFBL.  We work with each of our Partners to tell their story about how and why they work with local farmers.

Partners contribute to a stronger local food system by helping us create a strong and positive identity for Southern Wisconsin food.  Each of us is building a culinary culture together and BFBL is one way to plug into the local food system.

Who can become a BFBL Retail Partner?

Partnership is restricted to

• Independent, locally owned grocery retailers
• Retailers who contribute significantly to the building of our local food system, be it by carrying a large percentage of local products, assisting in the distribution or warehousing of local foods, providing local foods to underserved communities or other contributions.
