Joan Dye Gussow
Dr. Joan Dye Gussow is a Professor emerita and former chair of the Nutrition Education Program at Teachers College, Columbia University.  Dr. Gussow has devoted her career to teaching
and writing on nutrition, nutrition education, and the connections between sustainable food systems and health.  She is the author of "This Organic Life: Confessions of a Suburban Homesteader."

Odessa Piper

Chef, writer, lecturer.  Founder, and previous owner at chef of L'Etoile Restaurant for 28 years.  As Odessa transitions from her years at L'Etoile, she will reflect on how the health of our bodies is connected to the health of our of animals, our soils, our farmers, and the earth.

Panelist:
Matthew Sharp

Registered nurse and grass-fed beef producer at Highland Hearth Farm near Reedsburg, WI.  Matt raises his Angus herd using rotational grazing and without use of  antibiotics, hormones or pesticides.  His devotion to these practices comes from his personal experience and belief that most food raised in the U.S. is nutritionally bankrupt --designed to feed a society that worships convenience.  And the price we're paying is our health.
