is part of the Food for Thought Festiva
l September 20-21, 2002

Look Who’s Cooking Recipe Contest 2002

Entry Levels
Elementary School (Kindergarten through 4th grade)*  
Middle School (Grades 5-8)* 
High School (Grades 8-12)*  
Adult (Age 18 or older) 
Adult/Youth Team (2 people per team: one person under age 18 and one 18 or older)  
Youth Team (3-5 youth per team, under age 18)  
*Note: Grade levels apply to the coming fall semester; that is, what grade you’ll be in this fall)  

Entry Categories

Main Courses
From pastas and savory pies to grilled foods and gratins, we want entrees with a new attitude: fresh, seasonal, locally made--and above all delicious.

Salads/Side Dishes
Like to play with your food? Here’s your chance to get creative with Wisconsin-produced veggies, cheeses, fruits and more.

Snacks/Desserts
These are the treats that appeal to the kid in everyone.

Let regional specialties reign, and think fun food, not fast food.  

Contest Rules and Regulations:

Entries will be judged on taste and best use of Dane County Farmers’ Market ingredients and other Wisconsin crops and products. Clearness of directions, ease of preparation, originality, and eye appeal will also be considered. Limit of 12 entries per person and/or team. A recipe may be entered only once (in one entry level and category). Entries must be your own creation or an adaptation of another recipe. REAP is not responsible for copyright infringement and reserves right to edit recipes. Food professionals and members of the REAP/Food for Thought steering and planning committees are not eligible to enter. Entrants names and recipes may be used without compensation in publicity and publications carried out by REAP. Judging will be done by members of a Madison-area cookbook club. Only one prize per contestant/team. Winners will be notified by mail or phone and may be invited--but not obligated--to demonstrate their recipes at the Food for Thought Festival on Sept. 21, 2002.
