Entries will be judged on: flavor; best use of regional ingredients from home gardens,
farmers’ markets, area producers and wild sources; clarity, completeness and accuracy of recipe; originality; and eye appeal. Limit of two entries per category per person. A recipe may be entered only once (in one category). Entries must be your own creation or an adaptation of another recipe. REAP is not responsible for copyright infringement and reserves the right to edit recipes. Culinary professionals and members of the REAP/Food for Thought steering and planning committees are not eligible to enter. Entrants’ names and recipes (and photos, if submitted) may be used without compensation in publicity and publications carried out by REAP. Only one prize per contestant. Winners will be notified and may be invited—but not obligated—to demonstrate their recipe at the Food for Thought Festival on Sept. 20, 2003 in Madison. Material prizes are not redeemable for cash; some may not include delivery or transportation. For more info, email punky1@chartermi.net or call 608-839-3383.
