Cheese and Dairy Bleu Mont Dairy Our farm sits atop a ridge overlooking Blue Mound State Park in the picturesque driftless region of southern Wisconsin. We are committed to sustainable practices, which include organic farming, a passive solar house, wind and solar power, and underground cheese curing cave. Crystal Ball Farms We are a certified organic dairy farm, processing our milk on the farm into vat-pasteurized, non-homogenized milks, butter, ice cream, cheese curds and yogurts. To ensure top quality, we control all aspects of our product, from the growing of the crops that our cows eat to the processing right on the farm. We primarily package our milk in glass bottles but are currently working on also packaging in individual plastic containers and bags for milk machines in order to better serve food service institutions. Dreamfarm Dreamfarm has the pleasure of milking goats morning and evening to create fresh cheese on its small family farm. Artisan cheese maker Diana Murphy handcrafts fresh goat cheese. Laying hens of various breeds produce an assortment of colorful eggs. All animals on our farm are free to roam their pastures and are fed organic grain and hay. Harmony Valley Farm Located in a secluded, spring-fed valley in western Wisconsin, we have been providing the La Crosse-to-Madison area with certified organic produce since 1985. Through sales at the Dane County Farmers’ Market, to 1,000 families in our CSA program, and to retail stores and fine restaurants, we have earned a reputation for especially flavorful, high quality vegetables, fruits and herbs. For information on our annual field days or CSA membership, please see our website. Hook’s Cheese Company, Inc. We make our cheese from milk produced on small family farms in southwestern Wisconsin. We are located in the historic town of Mineral Point. Our award-winning cheeses range from Colby, Monterey Jack and pepper jack to blues and sharp cheddars. Our 10-year cheddar took 1st place at the American Cheese Society Show in 2006. Otter Creek Organic Farm Otter Creek Organic Farm, located in the rolling hills just south of Spring Green, is an organic farm showcasing the system of mineralized balanced agriculture. The farm’s beef, dairy, pork and poultry are pasture-raised and rotationally grazed on finely tuned mineralized soils. All breeds are selected for taste and quality. River Valley Ranch Seasonal fresh produce, 5 varieties of fresh mushrooms, wild mushrooms in season, all pesticide- and chemical-free. River Valley Ranch is the oldest commercial mushroom farm in the Midwest. Handcrafted sauces and salsas from our on-farm kitchen, using our farm-grown produce, as well as locally produced foods are available in our year-round market. Located at Hwy 50 and Cty P, 8 miles east of Lake Geneva, open 7 days per week, 9am-6pm. Sassy Cow Creamery Sassy Cow Creamery is a farmstead dairy built in 2007 by third generation dairy farmers James and Robert Baerwolf and their families. They have conventional and organic dairy herds, located within miles of each other. They bottle milk at their farmstead dairy located 7 miles north of Sun Prairie. Products include whole, 2% and fat-free milk in gallons, half gallons and pints. Chocolate and strawberry milk, as well as cream, are also available. The dairy also crafts ice cream. Products are available at the creamery’s farmstead store, as well as in local stores. Sugar River Dairy Sugar River Dairy is a family-owned and -operated Grade A dairy plant that produces small-batch homestead yogurt using milk from a local dairy farm. Our milk comes from cows that are humanely treated, outside daily and rBST free. Our yogurt is non-homogenized (cream line) and contains no additives, stabilizers or high fructose corn syrup. Trautman Family Farm Whether it’s our all-natural grass-fed beef, pastured pork, poultry or eggs (and more!)—every taste is an invitation to our certified organic family farm. Uplands Cheese Co./Grass Dairy Uplands Cheese Co./Grass Dairy is an organic, rotational grazing farm and cheese manufacturing business in Dodgeville. Our cheese, Pleasant Ridge Reserve, is made on the farm using milk from our own pasture-fed cows. We only make cheese when our pastures are at their best and age it in caves for 4-18 months. Our award-winning cheese (Best of Show 2001 and 2005 American Cheese Society; U.S. Champion 2003 WCMA) is a raw-milk cheese made in the style and tradition of French alpine cheeses.
