Craft and Fibers A-Z Farm We grow pasture-raised lamb and poultry without hormones, growth stimulants or antibiotics. Freezer lambs (whole, half, individual cuts), sheep pelts and eggs from pastured hens are available. We also sell wool for spinning, weaving, crafts and blankets. Farm tours are offered by reservation for groups of all ages from March 4-August 1. Sheep Shearing for Spectators 2009 will be held February 21. Open Lambing Barn 2009 will be March 15, 22 & 29. All events are inside the 11,000-square-foot barn. Christensen’s Farm Christensen’s Farm is a family venture offering a variety of vegetables and berries grown without chemicals. Our U-pick season begins in June with currants and raspberries and continues throughout the summer with tomatoes, peppers and more. We are 8 miles west of Monroe on Cty M. Circle M Market Farm Circle M is a family homestead nestled in a cozy valley 40 minutes southwest of Madison, reached by curvy country roads. We steward the land in a circle of nurture with sheep, goats, chickens, horses, steers, pigs, dogs, cats and geese, joined by shareholders who visit often by appointment and for festivals. We deliver organically grown CSA produce shares biweekly to Madison, and also sell natural meats and wool products. Visit daily via our farm blog. Country Bumpkin Farm Market Come to “our farm” to enjoy fresh, pre-picked garden produce, walk our gardens, or browse our gift shop and greenhouses. U-pick also available for our homegrown berries, fruits, vegetables, herbs, cut flowers, plus we plant and grow our own beautiful, jumbo flower baskets! Open daily, 10am-6pm, April 20-October 31. Take exit 89 to Hwy 23. Travel south 1/2 mile to Hwy P on right. (Super Wal-Mart and Home Depot are on left.) Turn right onto Hwy P for 1 mile. We are on the left. Country Haven Farm Country Haven Farm, on the banks of the Maunesha River, is ideal for raising Scottish Blackface sheep. This hardy breed flourishes on our farm’s natural grasses. The mild-flavored lamb meat is naturally lean. We feature frozen lamb available year-round, including legs, chops, steaks, ground, stew meat and delicious lamb brats. The long staple wool is excellent for spinning, felting, tapestries and rugs. Both raw fleeces and washed wool are available. Shipping/delivery available. MasterCard/Visa accepted. Donna’s Organic Gardens, LLC Donna’s Organic Gardens, LLC, is located 10 miles west of Hartford or 1 mile east of Hustisford on Hwy 60. The farm is south of Hwy 60 on Hwy EE. Sales are at both the gray house and gray barn locations. I am certified organic with Global Organic Alliance and pasture-raise Piedmontese beef, chicken, turkey and lamb. I also have eggs, strawberries, raspberries and potatoes. Available year-round is wild Alaska salmon and purebred Icelandic wool. Gourds are available for crafts. Foster’s Fall Harvest Foster’s Fall Harvest has all of your fall decorator needs in one spot. We specialize in a large variety of pumpkins. Select from the lawn or take a free hayride to our pumpkin patch and pick from the field. Hayrides offered Sundays in October, 1-4pm. Also have squash, gourds (including dried birdhouses), ornamental corn, corn shocks, straw bales and mums. Apples, Amish jams and candy, along with crafts are sold in the shed, Monday-Friday, 5-7pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 9am-7pm. Open September through October. Come enjoy the farm animals and take pictures. Look for our Big Turkey. Located 4 miles north of Marshall on Hwy 73. Gentle Breeze Honey, Inc. Our family has been producing Gentle Breeze Honey since 1965. We market raw, fancy white clover honey in sizes from half pints to five pounds. Our old-fashioned honeycomb is a specialty Grandma remembers eating as a kid! We also have handmade pure beeswax candles that burn longer and cleaner than paraffin wax and seldom drip. From Mt. Horeb, take Hwy 92 south 5 miles to Town Hall Rd., turn left and continue to the Gentle Breeze Honey sign. PLEASE CALL BEFORE YOU VISIT. Hermanson Pumpkin Patch Hermanson Pumpkin Patch is no ordinary pumpkin patch. We have 32 varieties of pumpkins of all colors and sizes. We also have squash, Indian corn, gourds and dried birdhouse gourds. Take beautiful fall pictures with the kids and farm animals. Pull a wagon into the field to pick or choose a pumpkin in the yard. Located 8 miles southeast of Stoughton or 4 miles from Edgerton on Cty N. Open the fourth week of September and all of October, 9am-6pm. Hillspring Eco-Farm We specialize in gourmet meats: tender, juicy lamb, extra-lean ground beef and sausages (no preservatives). Take Hillspring heritage animals, blend with eco-friendly organic stewardship, fold in pasture grazing (hold the grain), and sprinkle with loving care: This is our recipe for amazing gourmet flavor and healthy, nutrient-dense meat. Homestead Animal Farm Homestead Animal Farm is a unique farm that has been in our family for over 130 years. We are located minutes from Holy Hill. Visit the farm’s friendly animals. Watch the goats play on the grass-roofed barns. Take an “I spy” hayride around our beautiful country farm. Challenge yourself in our corn maze. We offer homegrown pumpkins, gourds, cornstalks, straw bales and more. We are open Saturdays and Sundays, 10am-6pm, from September 27-October 31. Educational field trips are available during the week by appointment. Kinkoona Farm/Baabaashop, LLC Kinkoona Farm is a beautiful farm full of laughter, life and activity. Visitors are always welcome. We have a variety of sheep: Icelandic, Border Leicester, Navajo Churro and Shetland producing both spinning and felting wools, and also Targhee/Texel cross sheep for pasture-grazed lamb meat. We sell pure wool, chemical-free mattress toppers and comforters that are covered in wonderful organic cotton sateen. During the summer vacation, we run day camps to encourage kids to get back in touch with their creativity and own involvement with nature. We are located 15 minutes south of Brooklyn in the Amish community. Kojis Produce We are a self-serve with two stands in Waterford. We have raised sweet corn since 1972 and moved into a very wide range of vegetables in the year 2002. We raise everything we sell. Many items are picked the same day they are sold for the freshest possible product. We are third generation farmers. The present owner and operator is in a wheelchair. Lapacek’s Orchard We are a small family-owned and -operated business conveniently located just 1/2 mile east of Poynette on Hwy CS and Q. Throughout the apple season, we offer over 30 varieties of apples, delicious caramel apples and unpasteurized apple cider. Our farm offers many family activities including: feeding our cows apples, visiting our emus, playing in the sunflowers, finding a pumpkin or gourd, and searching for kittens. See you in the fall! Narrow Gate Farms Narrow Gate Farms is a 45-acre, newly established, family-operated farmstead located in Campbellsport. We raise blueberries, which are sold pre-picked at the Campbellsport Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings, in season. We also have a variety of heirloom vegetables for sale or available through CSA, as well as fresh, pastured eggs. Future offerings will include U-pick blueberries and a variety of other unusual fruits and berries. See our website for directions. The Plant Petaler The Plant Petaler specializes in quality organic herbs, edible flowering and vegetable plants. Find our healthy plants available at the Dane County Farmers’ Market. Stop by our booth and sample one of our 13 different varieties of edible flowers. Add interest and color to your meals.
