CSA Blue Moon Community Farm Blue Moon is known for its fresh, high quality vegetables and commitment to using sustainable practices and heirloom varieties. 2008 is an exciting year as the farm relocates to a new home in the Town of Dunn, just south of Madison. NO FARM VISITS, PLEASE. Circle M Market Farm Circle M is a family homestead nestled in a cozy valley 40 minutes southwest of Madison, reached by curvy country roads. We steward the land in a circle of nurture with sheep, goats, chickens, horses, steers, pigs, dogs, cats and geese, joined by shareholders who visit often by appointment and for festivals. We deliver organically grown CSA produce shares biweekly to Madison, and also sell natural meats and wool products. Visit daily via our farm blog. Dreamfarm Dreamfarm has the pleasure of milking goats morning and evening to create fresh cheese on its small family farm. Artisan cheese maker Diana Murphy handcrafts fresh goat cheese. Laying hens of various breeds produce an assortment of colorful eggs. All animals on our farm are free to roam their pastures and are fed organic grain and hay. Driftless Organics Driftless Organics is a certified organic vegetable and fruit farm, nestled in the hill and valley region of northern Crawford County. Our specialty is potatoes but in the past few years we’ve diversified and expanded to include a wide array of fruits and vegetables. All in all, we have roughly 40 acres under cultivation. Our product line can be seen at local food co-ops in Madison and the Twin Cities. We now offer a 19-week CSA with pick-up sites in Madison and Viroqua! Future Fruit Farm Our certified organic family orchard grows unusual varieties of pears and apples. The delicious flavor and quality of our Future Fruit is sought after. Our farm also produces organic pear cider and organic pear and apple butters using our own fruit and home kitchen recipes. Harmony Valley Farm Located in a secluded, spring-fed valley in western Wisconsin, we have been providing the La Crosse-to-Madison area with certified organic produce since 1985. Marr’s Valley View Farms, LLC Our Black Angus beef farm has been in the Marr family since 1874. We are the fourth generation, second consecutive brother-sister team to own and operate the business. All animals are born and raised on our farm, grass-fed and corn-finished. We do not feed animal byproducts or use growth hormones. Join us, and become part of a new model of family farm. Narrow Gate Farms Narrow Gate Farms is a 45-acre, newly established, family-operated farmstead located in Campbellsport. We raise blueberries, which are sold pre-picked at the Campbellsport Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings, in season. We also have a variety of heirloom vegetables for sale or available through CSA, as well as fresh, pastured eggs. One Sun Farm & Bakery One Sun Farm specializes in perennial food crops like asparagus, raspberries and hazelnuts. Also available are 100% grass-fed beef and a variety of annual vegetables. One Sun Bakery uses our own farm produce, organic and local ingredients to produce high quality, wholesome and homemade foods. One Sun Farm Store welcomes everyone to come and visit and purchase our farm-friendly food: frozen meat, pizzas and berries, fresh produce in season, special-order baked goods, ice and refreshments. Otter Creek Farm Enterprises We are a family-owned and -operated goat dairy and produce farm located midway between Darlington and Fayette off Hwy F in Lafayette County. We relocated from Pennsylvania in 2004 with plans to supplement the dairy with various farm products including aquaculture and raniculture in the future. Currently we have fresh produce. We connect with consumers through our CSA program, a farm stand open 6 days a week throughout the season, and the Darlington Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings. We farm organically and sustainably. We have no Sunday sales and desire no outside Sunday activity whatsoever. The Plahnt Sense Farm We currently specialize in growing a large selection of vegetables. We also grow a nice selection of culinary, medicinal, and aromatic herbs and dye plants, both potted and fresh cut. We also grow edible and scented flowers for jazzing up your landscape. Pleasant Hill Market Garden We’re a certified organic farm growing over 200 varieties of vegetables and herbs. Produce is available through our CSA. We also sell to fine restaurants through the Home Grown Wisconsin cooperative. Sweet Earth Organic Farm The farm was first certified organic in 1974 and has been producing organically ever since. The farmer is a woman, a seed saver and heirloom grower, and especially dedicated to the nutrient value and overall energy of the food grown at this farm. Thimmesch’s Long Table Farm Our family raises vegetables, herbs and flowers on our small farm in a thriving Amish neighborhood in beautiful Vernon County. West Star Farm, LLC West Star Farm vegetables, flowers and bedding plants are grown 7 miles east of Madison. We are located 1 mile south of Hwy 12/18 or 1 mile north of I-90 on Cty N and West Star Rd. We are a USDA certified organic grower. We grow several varieties of vegetables and flowers and offer a diverse selection of spring bedding plants. Buy fresh produce direct from our farm or join our CSA to enjoy a weekly box of produce from June to October. Wholesome Harvest Wholesome Harvest is a produce farm located near Lake Mills. Our farm will be certified organic in the spring of 2008. We run a very nice CSA. We also sell at a variety of farmers’ markets in southern Wisconsin. We have CSA drop points in Jefferson, Waukesha, Watertown, Fort Atkinson and Lake Mills. We are also using the Westside Community Market (Madison) as a drop point. We enjoy growing a wide variety of produce in the healthiest way possible. Young Earth Farm Young Earth Farm is located in Randolph, about 45 miles northeast of Madison. Our specialty is top-quality produce. Enjoy our produce Tuesday afternoons at Madison’s Eastside Farmers’ Market (May-October). We deliver CSA shares to several Madison locations and also supply restaurants in Madison and Oconomowoc. We accept our responsibility to grow food with respect for the earth.
