U-Pick4. Appleberry Farm Conveniently located near the west Beltline of Madison, 4 miles west on Mineral Point Rd., left on Timber Lane, right on Maurer Rd. The scenic farm provides a wholesome family experience and famously fresh food. U-pick strawberries, raspberries and sweet corn. Heirloom apples, pumpkins, caramel apples, fresh cider, donuts, brats, hayrides and school tours. Berry Basket and Greenhouse, LLC Berry Basket and Greenhouse has been in business for 21 years. We grow strawberries, raspberries and asparagus. We also have a greenhouse for perennials, annuals, grasses and vegetables. While we are not certified organic, we follow many organic practices. Please see our website for a map and more info. The Berry Farmer, Inc. From Baraboo, turn west onto Hwy W. Go 2.5 miles. Turn right onto Hoot Owl Rd. Strawberries mid-June to early July. U-pick and pre-picked strawberries and peas. Blueberries early July to mid-August. Call for picking information, (608) 355-1965. Containers provided or bring your own. Children always welcome. Berry Hill Farm Berry Hill Farm is a U-pick strawberry farm located in the town of Middleton. From Hwy 12, take exit 253 onto Old Sauk Rd. Head west 3.7 miles. Some pre-picked are available. Our season typically begins early/mid-June and runs through early July. U-pick trays and quarts provided. Call ahead for hours and field conditions. Blue Skies Berry Farm We grow raspberries, heirloom tomatoes, vegetables, herbs and greens using only organic inputs. U-pick season: mid-August to October. We are 16 miles south of the Beltline via Hwy 14, toward Evansville; turn right at Union (at Tavern) onto W. Union Rd. 1.5 miles and left on Crocker 500 ft. Bures Berry Patch Specializing in pre-picked and U-pick strawberries, pumpkins, summer and fall raspberries. We also cultivate asparagus and rhubarb. Call for hours/availability. From Madison: travel Hwy 18/151 west for ~30 miles. Go 2.5 miles past Barneveld. Turn south on W. Brigham Rd., go 1 mile. See you in the patch! Carandale Farm Visit our farm for U-pick or pre-picked strawberries, Concord grapes and fall raspberries. We also vend our fruits at the Dane County Farmers’ Market including uncommon fruit from our test plot (aronia, sea berries, currants, gooseberries, blackberries, cherries and more!). We’re at the end of S. Fish Hatchery Rd., 8.5 miles from the Madison Beltline. Country Bumpkin Farm Market U-pick and We-pick strawberries, summer and fall raspberries, blueberries, grapes, fruits and melons, vegetables, flowers and pumpkins. Enjoy our gardens, gift shop, greenhouses or an ice cream cone! Open daily, April 25-October 31. Take Exit 89 onto Hwy 23, south 1/2 mile to Hwy P on right. (Super Wal-Mart is on left.) Turn right onto Hwy P. We are 1 mile on left. Door Creek Orchard U-pick and pre-picked apples are offered as well as U-pick table and wine grapes, fall raspberries and pumpkins. Unpasteurized cider is pressed weekly. Meat and naturally colored yarn available from our Black Welsh Mountain sheep. Season: mid-August to late November. From Madison take Hwy 12/18 east 3 miles past I-90, turn right on Vilas Rd. and go 1/2 mile. Eplegaarden, LLC A real old-fashioned Norwegian 100-acre farm. Families and all ages have fun selv plukkin their own apples, berries and pumpkins, doing hayrides, Halloween, picnics and much more in the store. In the city of Fitchburg, 4 miles south of Madison Beltline on Seminole Hwy, 1/4 mile west to Fitchburg Rd. Flyte Family Farm Too! and Greenhouses Offering U-Pick and We-Pick strawberries and blueberries. Tomatoes and English cucumbers grown hydroponically extend our outdoor vegetable season. Just off I-39, exit WI-21 west to Frontage Rd., north to second left on Cottonville Ave. Foster’s Fall Harvest Foster’s Fall Harvest has all your fall and Halloween decorator needs in one spot. We grow a large variety of specialty pumpkins. Choose from the best jack-o’-lantern selection in the area. Hayrides offered Sundays in October, 1-4pm. Also have squash, gourds (including dried birdhouses), Indian corn, corn shocks, straw bales (4 sizes) and mums. Apples, cider, Amish jams and candy, and craft items are sold in the shed, Monday-Friday, 5-7pm, and Saturday-Sunday, 9am-7pm. Open September through October. Look for our big turkey out front. Located 4 miles north of Marshall on Hwy 73. Green’s Pleasant Springs Orchard We grow 65 varieties of apples, tomatoes, specialty lettuces and pumpkins. Fresh, unpasteurized cider is pressed each week in season. For 30 years we have grown quality produce, mindful of food safety and the environment. We sell at the orchard, Dane County Farmers’ Market and Westside Community Market in Madison. Hazeltines Strawberries In the strawberry business for 30 years, Hazeltines offers 15 acres of high quality strawberries, both U-pick and pre-picked. Call ahead for picking conditions. From Madison: Hwy 14 south, 28 miles. Turn right (south) at Hwy H, continue about 5 miles. Turn right onto Hwy 11 for 1/2 mile. Hazeltines will be on the right (north) side. Hinchley’s Dairy Farm Hinchley’s Dairy Farm is a real dairy farm that offers educational tours of the farm, with hands-on opportunities to hand milk a cow, gather eggs and take a hayride to pick a free pumpkin in October. Farm raised chicken, turkey, duck and rabbit for sale, and U-pick raspberries, squash, pumpkins and eggs. Farm is just a short drive from Madison, Janesville or Milwaukee, 2844 Hwy 73 outside of Cambridge. Jelli’s Market We are a U-pick strawberry farm and also offer many other summer and fall produce items. Raspberries, peas, green beans, tomatoes and sweet corn all available as U-pick or pre-picked. Call hotline or visit website for daily updates from April-October. Located 5 miles east of Johnson Creek; I-94 exit to Cty B. Take B east 5 miles to S. Farmington Rd. Watch for signs. JenEhr Family Farm Organic diversity—good for the land, neighbors and everyone who enjoys great-tasting, nutritious, locally raised organic produce and pastured poultry. Kay and Paul at JenEhr are Wisconsin born and bred farm kids, raising more than 50 different fruits and vegetables, offering organic strawberry U-pick and enough pastured chickens and turkeys to keep you well fed year-round. As a family we grow bi-color sweet corn, tomatoes, watermelons, muskmelons, squash and pumpkins, all freshly picked. We are only 35 minutes from Madison’s eastside. Located north of Madison on Hwy 51 between Poynette and Portage. Open 11am-6pm, Monday-Saturday, mid-July through October. Schuster’s Playtime Farm From adorable animals to zooming corncobs, Schuster’s Playtime Farm offers farm produce and excitement for everyone! Farm features include: centennial round barn, hayrides, corn maze (day and night), Haunted Forest, pumpkins, squash, fall decorations, animal menagerie, barnyard play area and bonfires. Group outings and field trips for the young or the experienced. Private bookings and/or centennial round barn rentals available May through October. Sutters Ridge Farm Come step back and reconnect with the land, your only distraction, the wide blue sky and the sweeping view of southwestern Dane County.
