Education

REAP aims to create a more knowledgeable, participatory food system through education. Our goals include educating REAP members, students, and other citizens about the many ramifications of the way we eat. We hope to engage diverse participants in discussion and dialogue on food-related issues and policies as well as involving area students in creative research.

Additionally, through media and public relations efforts, we hope to build visibility and provide information on successful policies, programs, and businesses being offered in the Madison area schools. We aim to educate the community about the kinds of foods being served in public schools and to explore the possibility of a different kind of institutional food buying structure that includes local, healthy, tasty alternatives.
