Wisconsin Homegrown Holiday Fundraiser

product displayInitiated in 2005 at two Madison elementary schools, the Wisconsin Homegrown Holiday Fundraiser continues to receive glowing praise from a growing number of participating schools. In 2008, 20 schools in southern Wisconsin collectively raised $17,300. Some of these funds were used to support farm-to-school programming at their schools.

The Wisconsin Homegrown Holiday Fundraiser generates enthusiasm and dollars because:

  • it offers high quality, delicious, and useful products, suitable for your own use or as holiday gifts,
  • supports local farms and businesses, and
  • supports fair trade principles

Click here for the 2008 fundraiser order form and listing of items.

There are two ways to participate in the fundraiser:

1) Order through one of the participating schools by emailing the contact person for instructions on ordering directly through the school. Profits from the fundraiser (40%) will stay at the school.

OR

2) Order through REAP Food Group. Profits from the sale will support Wisconsin Homegrown Lunch farm-to-school work in Dane County Schools.

We encourage you to invite family and co-workers to participate!  There is room for up to 3 people on each order form.  You can easily print off extra forms as needed.  This is also a wonderful opportunity for workplaces to get in on a good thing buying holiday gifts for your staff.

Thanks for supporting our local foods fundraiser and helping Wisconsin Homegrown Lunch continue to link the land with the lunchroom!

Is your school interested in participating in the fundraiser next year?
You don't have to be located in Madison to participate!
