Day on the Farm


 Thank you to Cassie and Mike of Crossroads Community Farm for hosting,
to the fabulous chefs for the great lunch,
and to everyone who came out for a lovely day on the farm!

 Guests of this year's Day on the Farm enjoyed a fabulous picnic-style lunch featuring farm-fresh ingredients
prepared by chefs from some of our
wonderful Buy Fresh Buy Local restaurants:

Salvatore’s Tomato Pies    The Madison Club     Fit Fresh Cuisine

 

 with delicious ice cream sandwiches from

Sassy Cow Creamery and Monty's Blue Plate Diner

 

In addition to the excellent meal, the afternoon included:

 Pickle making, costumes, & potato sack races for the kids

● Chef Demonstrations by Local Thyme

"Pickles Two-Ways and Local Infusions"

● Tours of the farm


 Mike & Cassie Noltnerwyss did an amazing job educating guests on the sustainable farming practices
that take place day in and day out on Crossroads Community Farm.
  

 

All proceeds from Day on the Farm benefit the efforts of REAP's Buy Fresh Buy Local Program,
cultivating the network of local farmers & chefs and building the community of local eaters.
